Iran's ambassador to Hungary has discussed academic cooperation opportunities at the University of Debrecen. As part of his visit on Wednesday, His Excellency Morteza Moradian also met with Iranian students enrolled in the University of Debrecen.

At the end of April, a delegation from the University of Debrecen visited several universities in the Chinese cities of Shanghai and Nanjing. Our institutional leaders also participated in the Sino-Hungarian Higher Education Forum held under the aegis of the 13th Educational Global Partners Conference.
Upon the invitation of students from the Philippines, the Ambassador of the Southeast Asian island state to Hungary also visited the University of Debrecen on its International Food Day, an international gastronomic festival. The training session of the first group of students enrolled in the vehicle engineering bachelor's degree (undergraduate) program in the automotive vehicle engineering specialization at the BMW Group Factory Debrecen Training Center has been completed. The University of Debrecen is the only Hungarian institution of higher education to have received the gold certification of the FISU Healthy Campus program. Out of a total of 137 institutions of higher education on the international list, only ten have achieved a similar rating.
Teachers of German from top-priority German language training institutions of Debrecen’s Vocational Training Center (Debreceni Szakképzési Centrum - DSZC) came to a special further training session hosted by the University of Debrecen (UD) on Thursday. An adaptation of Tolstoy's novel, Anna Karenina, was staged with great success by the students of the Institute of Slavic Studies of the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Debrecen (UD) in the Liszt Hall of the Faculty of Music. The performance, which premiered on April 24 was directed by Angelika Molnár, an associate professor of the institute.
The University of Debrecen has signed a cooperation agreement on research and education with the institution of higher education called Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology, India. Owing to this partnership agreement, joint training and student exchanges will be possible in the future in the fields of engineering, information technology and natural sciences.
